How To Make Step By Step School Drawing – Viral Painting

Going to school is arguably one of the most wonderful aspects of our lives.

Though exams, answering quizzes, and completing homework can be stressful, nothing wins against the fun of eating lunch with your friends during the lecture and playing games with your mates.

How to draw a school — Let’s begin!

Step 1 — Draw the base of the school.

Start by drawing a horizontal line that will create the base and some stairs attached in the middle of it. Draw trees on each end of the base.

Draw three rectangular shapes on top of each other in the lower middle part of the establishment to create the stairs.

Remember to maintain a gentle grip and light strokes when drawing an outline or rough diagrams. Prevent pressing down too hard with your pencil so you can easily get rid of any unwanted lines that you may not need later.

Drawing a school is largely dependent on straight lines. So, use a ruler every step of the way to enable you to draw straight lines quickly and easily.

Step 2 — Next, Draw the entire building and add the word school.

Draw vertical lines in the middle and on each side right above the base of the school to make the walls. Then, connect the top points of the vertical lines by drawing a horizontal line at the top to create the roof base.

In the middle, draw two small rectangular shapes. This will create the doors. Draw small boxes on each side of the building to make the windows. 

Draw the word “SCHOOL” at the right top of the middle wall. Keep all the letters capitalized to make it more visible as shown above.

Step 3 — Afterwards, Structure the roof of the school.

Draw wide trapezoid shapes on both top sides of the building and a triangle shape overlaid in the middle of the trapezoid shapes that we just drew.

Remember that the triangle shape should be a bit taller than the trapezoid shape, as shown in the illustration above. In the top middle of the triangle, draw a circle to make a clock.

Draw a wide inverted V-shaped line within the triangle-shaped roof. The line should be parallel to the outline of the roof to enhance its appearance..

Step 4 — Add clouds and start defining and filling in colors.

Draw clouds above the school in the background.

Outline the entire border of the school and other elements of your sketch such as trees and clouds by using a black sketch to enhance the whole art.

Start coloring on the rooftop of the school. We selected red for the trapezoid shapes and orange for the inverted V shape roof of the school..

Step 5 — Now color the walls of the school.

Add pretty bright colors to the side walls of the school. Except for the small boxes on the walls, fill in the entire shape with bright yellow color. 

Step 6 — Color the other side wall of the school.

As illustrated in the previous step, repeat the same step to paint the other side wall of the school.

Step 7 — Now, paint the middle wall of the building.

Paint the middle wall of the school with pink color as shown above leaving space for doors and a clock. You can choose other colors as per your liking.

Step 8 — Now it’s time to put green on the work.

We have almost reached the finishing point of the school sketch. Add green color to the crown of the trees and the clock.

Step 9 — Coloring the windows and the trunks.

Now, paint the trunk portion of each tree brown and start filling in blue to the windows and the area with the word ‘School’ inside it. Highlight the word ‘School’ with dark blue color to make it legible.

Step 10 — Finish your drawing by filling in colors to the left blank areas.

Finally, we came to the last step of our drawing which is filling the colors to the left elements. Pick up your blue color and start filling in the clouds. Paint the stairs purple and the doors light blue.
